18.01.2017: Narrow rings ? No problem !

In the end of 2016 we have invested into a so-called Rotocutter. This sawing machine enables us to cut combined rolled rings (with multiple widths) into very narrow rings. Such combined rings are put into clamping chucks (comparable to a machining lathe) and then they are sawn by using a rotating circular saw blade which is coated with carbide.

Allowances on the faces of separation can be reduced significantly. Our rotocutter can process seamless rolled rings up to 1.200 mm OD and wall thickness of up to 120 mm. The thinnest rings can be cut to only 10 mm width. This new method allows us to reduce the use of raw material and it will shorten operational time for further machining. Our valued customers will be in favor of this cost benefit.
